Thank you to Renee and the Arraru Yakka Cultural Capability Training team for delivering well informed and culturally safe training. Our training group included both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, Renee made everyone feel at ease generating discussion about Aboriginal history and best practice moving forward. Every individual at the training took away new knowledge and learnings from Renee, especially her personal insights. Kaurna Plains Children's Centre and Kaurna Plains Childcare Centre look forward to continuing training with Renee in the future.

The training on Friday was excellent. I especially liked that we got to learn more about the history of Australia and why there is so much hurt and pain (not to mention multi-generational trauma). It is good to keep building on existing knowledge.

I also like that she came from a place of acknowledging the pain of her people but also on looking at the positives and ways forward. She worked hard to take me/us on the journey with her and to provide as much opportunity as time permitted to sit in discomfort, ask questions, try new language (such as the acknowledgement of Country) and privilege. It was a good mix or balance of giving information, promoting discussions between the participants and deeper thinking.
